Starting in February 2015 Pryda has set up a program in conjunction with Chisholm TAFE across Australia to assist you in gaining a recognized qualification in your field.
The 16 unit program consists of:
· 12 units in a Certificate IV in Building and Construction
· 4 units incorporating the use of Pryda Software
The following units of competence will be delivered as the recognised nationally accredited skills set. (Participants will receive a statement of results only as per qualification packaging rules).
Units of Competence:
Identify and produce estimated costs for building and construction projects
Read and interpret plans and specifications
Manage occupational health and safety in the building and construction workplace
Qualification: Certificate IV in Building and Construction – CPC40110
The TAFE units toward a Certificate IV in Building and Construction will be done on line. The 4 units incorporating the Pryda Build software will be trained and assessed by the Pryda Software Support Team members, who have trained as workplace trainers.
Talk to your manager about enrolment.
For further information or enroll directly with TAFE please contact the Project Liaison Officer at Chisholm TAFE:
Nicole Robinson (03) 9238 8502 Nicole.Robinson@chisholm.edu.au
The TAFE cost of the 4 units is $884.00 per student. However, if students are upgrading their qualifications from a lesser level (e.g. Certificate 2 or 3 programs, or a Higher School Certificate) most State Governments may refund the training cost on completion of the program.
Contact your states Education Departments for open ended question or a registered apprenticeship provider in your state for further information.
The first intake will be for 16 students with regular intakes after January. This is your chance to obtain a formal qualification in your profession and to put you on a more certain career path within the industry.
